One of my friends (Windows) has a problem, she cannot open the attachment
file of an E-mail from her brother (Windows).
She asks me to do some practice with us about "attachment". So
I made some "News letter" using Claris Works (words processor),
and attached to a mail, and send it to her. Grandpa taught me how to do
all these.
But "I got mail" telling:- " Thank you very much for your
quick response, but, there are some "kanji-ghost" in signature
column, and it indicates there is one attachment file, but still I can not
open it. I have PC school today, I will ask then. "

<IMG SRC="../../../../people/people.me.gif" ALIGN="BOTTOM"

(E-mail)
There could be three possible causes for that.
1) Claris Works is not installed in her computer.
2) In Windows system, computer cannot recognize the file without "format
extension" in file name, such as "fname.txt" or "fname.jpg".
3) Claris Mail automatically compress attachment file before sending it.
So, if they do not have adequate program to expand it, no way to open.
To prevent these:-
1) Save the file in "text" format.
2) Add ".txt" to the original file name.
3) Erase check mark of "compress", (to use Base64 format)
