I played the softball tennis at my friend's home in my student days.
After I had entered the company, there were several tennis player in my office and I entered new Meiji Jingu Tennis Club by chance, so I began play tennis. In these days, the business hour ended by four o'clock, so we could go to the club and we could play tennis until it becomes dark. The club is near Aoyama's baseball ground. There are a lot of green even in center of Tokyo and tennis court is still clay, so the load does not rest upon the foot. Tennis can be enjoyed on the rainny day because there are eight indoor courts in our club.
[Current state]
I play tennis at least once a week. I enjoy single with my friend at almost the same age and same level when the courts are not crowded on the morning of the weekend. And I play the doubles on the afternoon of the weekday. The technique does not progress but I enjoy to play tennis for healthy maintenance. I wonder that I can play single until how years old.
In Jingu Club, there are three groups of players for me.
The first group is association of the member who are born on single year of Showa(from 1926 to 1935), and play tennis on spring and autumn in the group of four teams. The second is named the Acorn Club and as the name shown, it is association of the member who are not skillful players. The third group is four members who have the common expweience to lodge together to play tennis on young age and play doubles almost once a month. And moreover, we go to the hot spring and small trip twice a year in couple.
It seems to be able to do the doubles up to about 90 years old though it would be inpossible to enjoy single.
